On the edge of Adelaide’s CBD is Whitmore Square, one of five public squares in the Adelaide city centre. The square is a community-oriented park for pedestrians and cyclists to stroll through, avoiding the busy roads. The lighting upgrade was designed to replace the previously outdated lighting system with the latest LED technology.
WE-EF fixtures were utilised throughout the square, with WE-EF RMT320 luminaires illuminating the pathways and WE-EF ETC330 luminaires uplighting the trees. A customised frosted diffuser was developed by WE-EF to enhance the visual comfort from the light source and minimise glare. Whitmore Square’s lighting upgrade delivers greater security for locals and the newly installed black fittings add a contemporary touch to the area.
