The St Kilda Pier redevelopment blends heritage with contemporary placemaking. A new curved walkway and tiered seating reimagine the pier as a welcoming public space while honouring its past.
Buckford Illumination Group is proud to be involved in this iconic project, supplying WE-EF LIGHTING and Coolon LED Lighting luminaires for the upgraded pier.
WE-EF LIGHTING PFL230 street and area luminaires provide general illumination to enhance safety and navigation. These are paired with a vibrant feature, a custom Coolon Londsdale luminaire, seamlessly integrated into the same pole.
Additionally, Coolon Alto IP delivers a soft, warm glow beneath benches made from reclaimed timber from the original pier. Near the historic St Kilda kiosk, Coolon’s Max Mini IP washes the walls of the new community pavilion, giving it a quiet, lantern-like presence.
All luminaires have been carefully selected to deliver atmosphere, functionality, and durability in the coastal environment.
