On the corner of Bourke St and King St in the heart of the Melbourne CBD, is Bourke Place, a premium tower accomodating offices and retailers. As part of the building’s renovations, the lighting upgrade was designed to enhance the new sophisticated foyer and attract quality clients.

Within the ground foyer, sits a 7-metre Turkish sandstone feature wall. ERCO Gimbal luminaires are subtly integrated within the sandstone to highlight the grade of the stone and create an interplay of shadows. This is a result of two light fittings, one with a tight beam and the other with a wide beam angle, fixed within each fin of the feature wall. The distinct shadows add vivacity to the space, creating a feeling of vastness and significance.
