Introduce yourself and tell me about your career so far.
My name is Chris and I have been in the lighting industry for over 14 years. I have pursued multiple roles which include Lighting Designer, Sales / Account Manager, and Category Manager.

Why did you pick this profession?
I have always had an interest in pursuing a design role. A Junior Lighting Design position presented itself and from there my ambition to grow into other areas and challenge myself led to a career in Sales. I really enjoy collaborating with clients on projects and managing the great relationships I have formed over my years in the industry.

Is there something that you’ve dreamed of doing for a long time? Why haven’t you done it?
I once dreamed about cage diving with the great white sharks in Port Lincoln. Something I always wanted to do. However, now that I have kids I do not want to risk being eaten.

What does your ideal weekend look like?
A weekend where my kids are not fighting or sleeping over at their grandparents’ house.
I enjoy going fishing, going to the footy to watch the mighty Essendon Bombers (when they’re winning), and going away with my wife and kids to the family beach house in Safety Beach to relax and unwind.

What is the last book you read?
Shoe Dog from Phil Knight, Creator of NIKE

What is your best and worst habit?
Best: I am very organized
Worst: My wife says I am very impatient. She is probably right.

If you could switch lives with any one person for one day, who would you choose?
Michael Jordan in his prime
